But then, the unexpected happened.

One day, Li Jiancheng, the first Crown Prince of the Tang dynasty, suddenly announced that he no longer wanted to be Crown Prince and wanted his younger brother, Li Shimin, to take the position instead.

The whole Tang dynasty was stunned!

Li Yuan: Son, you need to think this through. Countless people have coveted the position of Crown Prince for thousands of years!

Li Jiancheng: Shut up! You have no idea how awesome my brother is!

Li Shimin: Li... Brother, what on earth happened to you?

Li Jiancheng: Little brother, don't think you can throw your weight around out there. To me, you're still just my little brother. Take the position when I give it to you.

Li Yuanji: Big Brother, I think it's my turn to make an appearance!

Li Jiancheng: You? That clump of boogers? Get lost.

Li Xiuning: What on earth happened to my brother?
