I Am a Celestial Master of the Taoist Sect, Descending the Mountain to Subdue Ghosts and Gods in a Chaotic Age

In times of prosperity, Buddhist monks amass wealth; in times of chaos, Taoist priests save the world!

Lu Daoya becomes a Celestial Master of the Taoist sect in the modern world, only to discover that the world is in chaos. Ghosts and gods are returning, the old pantheon is in decline, the new divine order is incomplete, and humanity is suffering.

At that time, the Buddhist temples revered by the people have shut their gates. Their golden Buddhas shine brightly, yet they care nothing for the suffering of the common folk.

But as a Taoist priest, Lu Daoya unhesitatingly descends the mountain, sword in hand, to slay demons and vanquish evil, striving to help all under heaven.

"Slay a Yin fiend, gain 10 merit points. Sword skill level increased. The Celestial Master's sword slays ghosts and gods!"

"Slay an ancient great demon, gain 100 merit points. Talisman skill level increased. The Five Thunder Talisman commands gods and demons!"

"Slay an evil god of the desolate age, gain 10,000 merit points. Spell skill level increased. The Golden Light Divine Incantation shines upon all worlds!"

When Lu Daoya becomes a deity among humanity and the people vie to worship and believe in him, he turns them away:

"Believe if you want, or don't. Just don't disturb this humble Taoist's cultivation."
