The remaining humans eke out a living in the yellow sands. They have established strongholds and are trying to reclaim the civilization of a thousand years ago. Now, however, those strongholds have become cities that devour people. Half the land is covered in yellow sand, while the other half is made up of green oases with trees. Those living in places rich in natural resources cannot understand the hardships of the wastelands. The lure of enormous profits also drives merchants and smugglers to leave home and head for cities towering over the dunes, where they can do the most lucrative business.
