The Restorer of the Dynasty

The powerful Great Xia Kingdom revealed its weakness during a coup. Foreign forces seized the opportunity to invade. Though they were eventually driven out, Xia had already been gravely weakened. With imperial authority in decline and warlords on the rise, the nation's fortunes began to fade.

Everyone thought the crown prince, victim of the coup, had been completely wiped out. But no one knew he had left behind an unborn child. The prince who seized power killed all the men in the Crown Prince's household, along with the Crown Princess, but spared the maids and other servants. One maid was not what she seemed, and she had already been favored by the Crown Prince before his death. Though it happened only once, she became pregnant.

The maid was taken in by the Hua family, one of the warlord clans. The head of the Hua family kept her true identity secret and secretly raised the boy she gave birth to.

The head of the Hua family intended to use the former Crown Prince's posthumous son to prevent the family's decline. But who could have known that the boy would eventually defeat all the warlords, restore imperial authority, and lead Great Xia back to greatness?
