The System Says: With a Host Like You, I'm Out of a Job

Lu Su transmigrates into a book and becomes its male lead.

The female author who wrote the book also transmigrates into it, becoming an empress.

The empress expects the protagonist to follow the usual formula, complete System missions, and grow stronger, but...

Empress: "The System has issued a mission. Refuse to accept the Phoenix as your spirit beast, and you'll receive a reward."

Lu Su: "The Phoenix is so cute. Why would I refuse?"

The Phoenix becomes Lu Su's spirit beast. To repay him, it spits out the Phoenix clan's treasured Supreme Immortal Bone from ancient times!

Empress: "The System has issued a mission. Kill that demoness, and you'll receive a reward."

Lu Su: "The demoness is so cute. Not only am I not going to kill her, I'm going to help heal her injuries."

After recovering, the demoness is grateful, reforms her ways, and gives the protagonist the Great Luo Emperor Sword!

When the empress learns that Lu Su is also a transmigrator, she completely loses it.

As a transmigrator, he hasn't completed even a single System mission.

I, Lu Su, am the protagonist and have the protagonist's halo. Does anyone really rely on a System to get stronger these days?
