Daughter Swap: You Call Your Dad a Scumbag?

A variety show called Swapping Lives is being livestreamed to great fanfare.

The format pairs two families, who swap children and raise each other's kids so they can experience a different kind of family life.

Chu Feifei signs up for the show. She says her father is a scumbag who doesn't care about her, drinks and smokes all the time, and regularly beats her.

Her mother divorced him because of it.

She can't stand having a father like that any longer!

The girl she swaps with is Lin Xiaohe, a simple, kind, and considerate country girl.

Chu Feifei bets that the girl won't last three days with her father.

Then the show airs.

The taciturn Chu Chen shields Lin Xiaohe from the rain with his arm.

When they run into thugs, the seemingly frail Chu Chen knocks them down in a few quick moves.

He rescues a child from drowning, stays up late studying with Xiaohe, and is a master of both cooking and music...

Chu Feifei is stunned, and so are the viewers.
