I Am Tang Xuanzang, True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Buddhas

I am the light, and Buddha's radiance shines everywhere!

I am the darkness, and Buddha falls into the abyss!

On the Journey to the West, all beings bow their heads before me. Mortals call me the True Buddha, the gods and Buddhas worship me as the Ancestor of All Buddhas, and all demons kneel to me as their True Ancestor.

I am the humble monk Tang Xuanzang, True Ancestor of All Buddhas, the one and only throughout the myriad heavens.

Tang Xuanzang opened his eyes and found himself seated on a lectern, with many eminent Buddhist monks gathered below.
