Literature and the Arts: Launching Zhu Xian, Enshrining the Gods of Journey to the West

Su Wen transmigrates to Blue Star, where he is terminally ill.

He has a System that grants rewards and extends his life in exchange for earning fame points.

To gain fame, he starts writing novels.

Before the release of Zhu Xian:

"It's not that I look down on immortal hero fantasy. Even dogs wouldn't read that stuff."

"Raise your hand if you've read immortal hero fantasy!"

"Has xuanqi stopped being exciting? Has science fiction run out of technology? Or have urban novels stopped being harem stories?"

"What's immortal hero fantasy? Isn't it better to read about an urban war god unifying the underworld?"

"Next to detective stories, everything else is child's play."

After the first volume of Zhu Xian is released:

"After a full day of reading, I finally finished the first volume of Zhu Xian, over 200,000 characters long. The beautiful prose, ingenious plotting, and fresh new setting make me certain this book will become the founding work of immortal hero fantasy."

"Two hundred thousand characters is way too short. I just want to see Zhang Xiaofan show off!"

"I finished it too. I didn't skip a single character in those 200,000 characters. It's the best immortal hero fantasy ever. Highly recommended!"

"The immortal hero fantasy of the past wasn't really immortal hero fantasy. Zhu Xian showed us what the genre truly is."

"Beifeng, are you a new author?"
