Showbiz: Filming Village of the Damned Scares a Million People Out of Their Wits

Zhou Yuan transmigrates to a parallel world where the very concept of fear doesn't exist. Even the most terrifying stories are just scenes of ordinary people going to sleep and dying horribly. Not a single ghost appears, let alone any attempt to build suspense or create a chilling atmosphere.

There's simply nothing remotely connected to horror.

And yet people in this world are more obsessed with horror films than with any other genre.

Once he decides what to do, Zhou Yuan chooses from the start to film the childhood nightmare A Chinese Ghost Story!

When viewers see the séance game, the ways Xiao Ming and the others die, and the appearance of Chu Meiren, the whole internet goes wild!

"A séance game? Holy crap, that's insanely thrilling!"

"Ghosts? Now that's how you make a proper horror movie!"

"I'll admit it: when Chu Meiren appeared, I nearly pissed myself..."

And so, beginning with A Chinese Ghost Story and a million viewers wetting themselves, Zhou Yuan keeps making horror films, one after another.

The Spirit of the Pen, Sadako, the zombie series, The Grudge...
