The Little Archer Beneath the Bridge of Helplessness

In the City of Six Ears, a group of people eke out a wretched existence in the cracks between the mortal world and the underworld. They are caught between life and death, unable to live or die. Neither one thing nor another, they gave themselves an elegant title: the Unfinished Children.

Leng Xiaoleng was an ordinary person, but a natural disaster turned him into one of the Unfinished Children. From then on, three utterly unrelated dimensions gradually drew parallel, and three seemingly incompatible peoples began to mingle, joining together in a bloody tale of grudges, passions, and worldly affairs. Yet the great highs and lows, joys and sorrows that Leng Xiaoleng experienced along the way were far more than can be summed up by saying, "Only the drinker knows the taste of the water."

Wine is the medicinal catalyst of this story, running through it from beginning to end, yet those who seek intoxication can hardly enjoy its effects. Love is the story's spirit, following like a shadow, yet those who love are doomed to part. The myriad things in this vast world are simply too much for a little book to contain.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
