Three and a Half Women in Four Courtyards

The book uses magical realism to reconstruct the reality of people at different levels. Through the rise and fall of four compounds in a small mountain village on the Chil River, it answers the question of why people initially relied on the national army to fight against the Japanese invaders, and finally followed the Communist Party and joined the volunteer guerrillas led by the Communist Party. They relied on the power of the people to crush the rule of the Japanese and puppets, and created a spirit of national unity to resist the Japanese.
