Transmigrate to the End of the Ming Dynasty: I Become Emperor Chongzhen's Illegitimate Son

In the fourteenth year of the Chongzhen reign, the Ming Dynasty was already on the brink of collapse.

Beyond its borders, Huang Taiji watched like a tiger waiting to pounce. Within them, Li Zicheng seized cities and territory.

A great drought ravaged the land, locusts swarmed, and the plague spread. The capital was strewn with corpses.

In two years, the Chongzhen Emperor would hang himself at Coal Hill, bringing the Ming Dynasty to its end.

Xie Cian, a transmigrator, had planned to head south to Yingtian Prefecture once his sign-in period was over, leaving this troubled place behind.

With the System, he could still make a good life for himself in this era.

But he never expected...

"My child, I am the current emperor, and your own father. You are a prince of the Ming Dynasty!"

Xie Cian was completely dumbfounded. I am the emperor's son, but only an illegitimate one?

I don't want this! I don't want to be the Chongzhen Emperor's son. His family meets a terrible end!

"An'er, you distinguished yourself in suppressing the rebel Li Zicheng. Father hereby makes you the Marquis of Loyalty and Valor!"

"An'er, you slew Huang Taiji. Father hereby makes you the Prince of Zhenbei!"

"My child, I don't have much time left. I will make you crown prince, so you can safeguard the vast realm of our Zhu family in my place!"
