Bright Sword: If Buddhism Won't Save the World, Then Taoism Will!

During the War of Resistance, artillery roars and shells rain down.

In this chaotic age, the Buddhist temples remain closed, and no one saves the people.

At the Battle of Zhangjiagou,

Li Yunlong's Independent Regiment is ambushed by Yamamoto's battalion.

Li Yunlong himself is seriously wounded.

Monk carries Li Yunlong up the mountain to seek help from the Buddha, but the monks inside keep the temple gates firmly shut.

With no other choice, Monk heads to another mountain, hoping the Taoist temple next door will open its doors to them.

But to his surprise, something strange is going on inside the temple!

By now, the Japanese have surrounded it.

Just as Monk is overcome with despair,

a dazzling golden light bursts forth from within the Taoist temple.

A celestial being in Taoist robes descends the mountain to bring peace to the war-torn land.
