Unexpectedly, decades later, when Kanae forces him to go to school, he discovers that one of his classmates is Kagome Higurashi, whose family has an old well that leads to the Warring States period.

His teacher is Shizuka Hiratsuka, and the next class over has a famous writer named Shizuha Kasumigaoka.

There are also rumors of people seeing yokai on the neighboring street.

Only then does Lin Ye realize that this world is not so simple after all. He has no choice but to take up his sword and return to the fray.
