My Daughter Died by Suicide After Battling Depression, So I'll Spend My Life Atoning

Approaching middle age, Shen Pingchuan is abandoned by his wife and laid off by his company. From then on, he spirals into despair, drowning his sorrows in drink.

But he still has a sweet, sensible daughter, the one reason he keeps living.

Then, in the year she is due to take the college entrance exam, she leaves without a word, leaving Shen Pingchuan only a farewell letter.

Shen Pingchuan reads the letter, stricken with grief and utterly heartbroken.

"Dad, I've been obedient for seventeen years. I want to be selfish just once. Depression is too hard to endure..."

"I can't beat it. It's too strong."

"Remember to take care of yourself. Your unfilial daughter is leaving first."

But there is still a way forward: the System gives him a chance.

If he saves people attempting suicide, he can bring his daughter back to life.

And so begins a journey of redemption...
