Great Qin: The First Emperor Fakes His Death, and I Rule in Fusu's Place

With the First Emperor's life drawing to a close, he shut himself away to refine life-saving elixirs and announced to the outside world that he had died.

He left a final decree for Li Si and Feng Quji, appointing Fusu as regent in his place!

When Fusu, Hu Hai, and the other princes heard that the First Emperor had died, they all eagerly hoped they would be chosen to govern in his stead.

But on the day the decree was to be announced, Li Si and Feng Quji recommended the Tenth Prince, Ying Beixuan, as regent!

The entire court was stunned. The two chancellors had actually recommended the uneducated, useless Tenth Prince to rule in the emperor's place.

From then on, the Qin dynasty had a regent prince skilled in both civil and military affairs.

"The treasury is empty? Get money from the gentry and nobles!"

"We're short on grain? I have seeds for rice, sweet potatoes, and all sorts of crops to solve the shortage."

"The common people can't afford to learn to read and write? I have papermaking, so everyone can afford books and paper."

"Our troops are losing to the Xiongnu cavalry at the border? No problem. I have the three-piece horse harness. With it, Qin's cavalry will be even more formidable."

When the First Emperor emerged from seclusion, he glared at Ying Beixuan and roared, "You rebellious son! You dare usurp the throne?"

Ying Beixuan smiled faintly. "With me governing the Qin dynasty, it will grow even stronger."
