Three Kingdoms: Cao Cao Exposes My Status as His Legitimate Eldest Son

In the first year of Zhongping, the realm was in turmoil.

To keep his eldest legitimate son safe, Cao Cao sent the three-year-old Cao Yi to live with one of his family's retainers.

His eldest legitimate son died young, so he was never recorded in the histories!

In the second year of Jian'an.

Cao Yi, who had transmigrated, received a letter from his father, whom he had not seen for fourteen years. His father was coming home soon.

That year, a plague of cold and fever was rampant. Cao Ang, Dian Wei, and others died in battle at Yushui, and Cao Cao, exhausted in body and mind, went out incognito to clear his head.

When Cao Cao pushed open the door to Cao Yi's home...

"Take off your clothes and bathe in hot water infused with willow branches. From now on, eat only cooked food and drink only boiled water. And don't relieve yourself wherever you please!"

"This is for your own good. It'll help keep you from catching the fever!"

Those first words left Cao Cao stunned.

After that, this bargain-bin father would often chat with Cao Yi about family matters and ask him about affairs of state.

He even secretly told Cao Yi that Cao Cao had once had an eldest legitimate son who died young, and that his name was Cao Yi too!

Cao Yi: "..."

Good grief!

Yesterday Xun Yu just told me I'm not your biological son, and now you're pulling this stunt on me?

Are you kidding me?
