A Common Man Beneath the Heavens

That guy finally became one of the transmigration crowd. Gazing at the distant sky, his heart swelled with ambition. After transmigrating to another world, how could he live a mediocre life and fade into the crowd? He planted one hand on his hip, pointed the other at the sky, laughed, and shouted, "Come out, System!"

A long while passed, but nothing happened.

A few crows cawed as they flew across the sky. Not far away, an old man sat resting on a wooden stump, smoking a pipe and watching him with interest. He thought, "This young fellow is quite amusing. He's got a pretty dashing pose, too. Reminds me of how I looked in my day!"

Even with skin as thick as Gaia's, he couldn't take much more of this. He wondered, "Did I activate it the wrong way?!"

Many years later, that guy stood at the peak of this world, still as spirited as he had been the first time, and still striking that same carefree pose, one hand on his hip and the other pointing at the sky. He laughed and shouted, "If the heavens blind me, then I'll overturn them! I'll show you all that even without a System, I can still turn this whole firmament upside down!"
