The Loop

Bang! A wisp of gray smoke billowed out onto the classroom balcony. A figure sprang from it, and a short knife slashed toward Zhang Zhixuan. With one strike, Zhang Zhixuan lost consciousness. He felt himself sinking endlessly, with no space or time. It seemed as if five years had passed, yet it also felt as though only five seconds had gone by. Zhang Zhixuan fell into a container that fit him perfectly, down to every strand of his hair. He felt light shining into his eyes. When he opened them, he saw the familiar ceiling above him.
