I Went to a Blind Date with a Younger Relative, Only to Have My Dark Past Exposed

Since its launch, a dating livestream show filmed at a matchmaking event has won widespread praise.

The show's key rule is that all participants must bring along their relatives.

After weighing their relatives' opinions and making a more thorough assessment of their potential partners, the men and women then decide whether to pair up.

Lin Weiyue signed up for the show and waited six months for her chance to appear on it.

But at the last minute, her parents had to go on a business trip.

So she had no choice but to bring along her maternal uncle, whom her grandmother and mother called unreliable and who had a long list of embarrassing past exploits.

During the show, Lin Weiyue repeatedly exposed the embarrassing stories about her uncle that she'd heard from her grandmother and mother.

He got excited about learning piano, then gave it up...

He joined a martial arts school to get in shape, only to be kicked out the very next day...

He went on a trip and vanished for months...

With his embarrassing past laid bare, Chen Fan became the show's main source of laughs.

Until one matchmaking guest after another came onstage...
