Siheyuan: From the Start, I Told Huaihua to Call Off the Engagement

He transmigrated into the world of Love in the Courtyard in 1979, became an ordinary resident, took over as a cook, and started dating the beautiful Huaihua.

As the saying goes, once a daughter is married, she's like water poured out.

When the Jia family learned that Li Xiangdong didn't want to hold the wedding banquet in the courtyard, they discussed it and decided to have him and Huaihua host an engagement banquet at a restaurant instead.

Who could have guessed that on the day of the engagement, First Master, Second Master, Third Master, Bang Geng's gang of good-for-nothings, and Qin Huairu's parents would all show up?

Bang Geng: "I'm used to smoking good cigarettes. I can't stand anything but Huazi. Waiter, bring me five cartons of Huazi."

Qin's father: "And bring five cases of Maotai."

Li Xiangdong chuckled. So the Jia family wanted to fleece him, their future son-in-law, before the wedding.

"Five cartons isn't enough. Make it fifty. And bring fifty cases of Maotai. Whatever we can't smoke or drink, we'll take home." Li Xiangdong laughed boldly.

When it came time to pay, Li Xiangdong refused to settle the bill.

In front of everyone, he announced,

"I'm calling off my engagement to Huaihua today!"
