Age of Rising: My Retirement Shocks China from the Start

Feng Jielin transmigrated to a world with no education in traditional Chinese culture. A top special forces soldier, he only wants to retire and work at a radio station after leaving the military.

But his talent won't let him stay out of the spotlight. After an accidental spat with fans, he becomes a nationwide idol overnight!

"Big brother just took a photo sitting on the Heroes' Mound."

"As descendants of China, we must never do anything that tramples on our nation's feelings!"

"Don't you adults have idols too?"

"We do! Every stroke of our great Chinese land stands tall and proud! Every one of those pillars is my idol!"

Feng Jielin: Whew! Good thing I didn't show my face! I really don't want to be famous.

But will the whole city let him off the hook?

Station Director: Whoever finds him gets a promotion and a raise!

Employee: I'll dig him right out of the screen if I have to!

Ivy League: He can choose any of the world's top universities!

"I just want to make programs in peace! The children of this world have to see Assembly, Soldiers Sortie, 08 Olympics, and the Opening Ceremony!"

"Congratulations, Host. Your program will represent China at the Olympics..."
