Gen Aoki's mother is a mythologist, and she had some adventures while inspecting the ruins of legendary Pokémon. This incident was known to the hunter organization for some reason. When Gen Aoki's parents were out, the plane they were flying in was attacked by hunters, and no one survived the entire plane.
