Journey to the West: I Am the King of Nanshan, and One Sword Opens Heaven's Gate

Liang Yue transmigrates into the body of the Southern Mountain King from Journey to the West.

At first, Liang Yue hopes to make his mark in the world of Journey to the West. But the next day, a woman who likes gathering firewood and singing folk songs arrives at Mistveil Mountain to lure a leopard out and punish it.

Just as Liang Yue is panicking, the frog he sent traveling with his Traveling Frog System finally returns, bringing him the bloodline of a Nine Nether Ao.

“Your frog has brought back a travel souvenir: the Innate Sacred Body and Dao Embryo!”

“Your frog has brought back a souvenir: a guide to advanced technology from the Celestial Realm!”

And so, the strongest Southern Mountain King in history is born. Mistveil Mountain also becomes a peaceful paradise where humans and demons coexist.

Until one day, when Tathagata Buddha leads the bodhisattvas and buddhas of the Buddhist sect in an assault on Mistveil Mountain. A single cry of “Sword, come!” splits the sky, revealing even the hidden Gate of Heaven.

A voice, mighty and inviolable, resounds through heaven and earth: “Can this sword of mine open the Gate of Heaven and destroy your Buddhist sect?”

The sages are shocked.
