The Listener: Struggling in Your Story

Everyone hopes to have a superpower that can help them achieve the dreams they could never fulfill on their own, like getting rich or becoming a hero...

At the age of ten, Lu Lin unwittingly gains a remarkable supernatural ability. Unfortunately, it can't help him solve any of his real-life problems. It can't help him finish mountains of homework in a flash, magically conjure money to buy the toys he likes, or make him irresistibly charming in front of the girl who sits beside him in class.

Sigh. He still gets beaten black and blue in fights, and when he runs into the neighbor's vicious dog, he still has to flee in a panic. This useless ability: can't he trade it for X-ray vision or the power to turn things into gold? At the very least, give him superhuman strength so he can do manual labor and earn double wages.

"Heavens above, please take this power back!" Lu Lin often cries out to the sky.

Hey, hey, you've said so much, but what exactly is your power? Don't tell me you're giving it to me. The readers are getting impatient.

Fine, if you want to know, keep reading...
