Great Ming: I, Son of Yuan Chonghuan, Am the Greatest Emperor of All Time

In the eleventh month of the second year of the Chongzhen reign of the Great Ming, 1629 AD, Later Jin ruler Hong Taiji led 200,000 troops around Mongolia and into the passes, heading straight for the capital.

Yuan Chonghuan received an imperial order to come to the capital's aid. He led tens of thousands of elite Guanning cavalry through the passes to defend it.

Yuan Chonghuan fought with his back to the city, engaging Hong Taiji in more than ten fierce battles, with victory going to both sides in turn.

Seeing that he could not defeat Yuan Chonghuan even after a prolonged campaign, Hong Taiji withdrew.

But rumors soon spread through the court, with everyone claiming that Hong Taiji had entered the passes because Yuan Chonghuan had deliberately let the enemy through.

In the twelfth month of the same year, the Chongzhen Emperor had Yuan Chonghuan imprisoned.

In the eighth month of the following year, the Chongzhen Emperor ordered Yuan Chonghuan to be executed by a thousand cuts and his family exiled three thousand li away.

To escape the disaster, Yuan Chengye, Yuan Chonghuan's son, fled far from home and hid in a small mountain village, changing his name to Yuan Yuan.

The surnames Yuan and Yuan sound alike, as do the characters for Yuan and injustice, to show that he would never forget how the court had unjustly killed his father.

Now see how Yuan Chengye, a special forces soldier whose soul has crossed over, suppresses the rebels and crushes the warlords; marches east to Liaodong and pacifies the Jianzhou Jurchens; and journeys across the four seas until every nation comes to pay tribute.

Awake, he wields power over all under heaven; drunk, he rests in the embrace of beauties...
