The Chronicles of Master Kongkong

As the saying goes, a person lives for one lifetime, while a tree grows for one autumn. Several decades pass in a flash. When I think about it, as long as we ordinary mortals stay healthy and avoid disaster, our lifespans are already long compared to those of birds and beasts. But beside the immortal monsters who live as long as heaven and earth, human life is fleeting as a white horse glimpsed through a crack, barely worth mentioning. Looking back through the long river of human history, though generation after generation of prodigies have emerged and built glorious legacies meant to last ten thousand ages, the human heart is never satisfied, and even a snake tries to swallow an elephant. Emperors seeking to make their dynasties endure for millennia and pass blessings on to their descendants have often tried to defy fate and change their lot. But how can a mayfly's strength shake a tree? In the end, the people are gone, the tea grows cold, and the world has changed. No one can escape the suffering of the six cycles of reincarnation. It is enough to make one sigh.
