Tales of Konoha: From the Start, I Set My Sights on Orochimaru

At the Chunin Exams, the Konoha Revival Plan is underway. Orochimaru earnestly urges the Third Hokage to step down and give Konoha a chance at a miracle.

The feudal-minded and ignorant Third Hokage disagrees with Orochimaru's forward-thinking, pioneering ideas.

Unwilling to kill his teacher, Orochimaru reluctantly reanimates the First and Second Hokage, Konoha's former leaders, and tries to persuade him with reason and emotion.

Yet the Third still refuses to resign and relinquish power. He uses the Reaper Death Seal, hoping to take his former student down with him.

After losing his arms, Orochimaru searches everywhere for Tsunade, both to heal his arms and to ask her to return to Konoha as Hokage.

Who could have expected Tsunade to show no regard for their old friendship and attack him? Orochimaru, understanding the greater good, repays her kindness with a grudge, cleverly curing Tsunade's blood phobia during their battle and giving her the confidence to set out on the path to becoming Hokage.
