I'm Really Not the Clan Chief

Billions of years ago, the universe was filled with countless powerful beings. The Chen family, the mightiest forbidden clan, vanished overnight. Some said the family had angered Heaven and been taken by an ill omen. Others claimed they possessed a way to transcend the universe and had ascended together as a clan. Countless powerful beings set out to uncover the secret behind the Chen family's disappearance.

"Patriarch, this is unfair to the young master. You're ruining his life!" The old man had graying hair and a weather-beaten face etched with the wrinkles of age. Only when he looked at the child before him did his eyes shine with warmth.

"Grand Elder, this concerns not only my son's life, but the survival of the Chen family. I will handle it myself. There is no need to discuss it further." The man's eyes were cold and proud, seeming to stare into nothing. Deep within them, reluctance filled his gaze.

Then he looked down. Billions of stars appeared in his eyes, and a blue planet came into view. The child in his hands was gone.
