Strange Tales from the Qinling Mountains

Zhang Qi has always lived in the city. When his company suddenly runs into a debt crisis and goes bankrupt, he is left deeply in debt, demoralized, and idle all day. One day, he accidentally finds several old feng shui books left by his ancestors at home. They record supernatural incidents that took place in his rural hometown, as well as some traditional feng shui techniques. A quick read leaves him fascinated by their contents, so he decides to return to the village he has not visited in decades, a small mountain hamlet deep in the forests on the northern slopes of the Qinling Mountains. There, he sets out on his own to explore the secrets of ghosts, gods, and feng shui described in the books...
