As a Spy in Wei's Camp, I Let Cao Cao Hear My Thoughts

Lin Lang transmigrates into the Three Kingdoms era and joins Liu Bei's forces, only for Zhuge Liang to send him to Wei's camp as a spy.

He thinks that, with his cover as a spy, he can offer all sorts of bad advice and bring Cao Cao down in no time.

But who could have known that Cao Cao can actually hear his thoughts?

Thus:

Yanzhou faces a grain shortage, and refugees are everywhere.

Lin Lang offers a plan: "My lord, why not drive the refugees from Yanzhou into Yuan Shao's territory? That would ease our shortages of both provisions and refugee relief, while greatly weakening Yuan Shao."

Cao Cao, driving the refugees away will cost you the people's support. You only need to distribute the land. In a few years, Yanzhou's grain stores will be full.

Cao Cao: "How did I not think of distributing the land? Yiwen truly is a lucky general."

The Battle of Red Cliffs.

Lin Lang offers a plan: "My lord, our army is unaccustomed to water. We only need to link our ships together with iron chains."

Cao Cao, when Zhou Yu attacks with fire, all your ships will be chained together. You'll be crying for your mother.

Cao Cao: "That Zhou Yu actually used fire! Thank goodness I had Yiwen, or we would have been doomed."

Several years later.

Zhuge Liang: "Lin Lang, didn't I tell you to offer plans that would sabotage Cao Cao? How did you end up helping him conquer the realm?"
