Global Doomsday: The Age of Espers

A sudden, inexplicable super-disaster swept across the globe.

Natural disasters erupted: meteorites, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and more. Plants and animals mutated, and zombie hordes descended.

Crisis often comes hand in hand with opportunity.

The genetic locks of some lifeforms activated, awakening their special abilities, while countless others evolved.

The global situation changed drastically. Under pressure from both within and without, countries around the world began establishing organizations for people with special abilities.

The National Special Abilities Bureau, the Special Abilities Alliance, the Special Abilities Guild, the Special Abilities Circle...

But that wasn't all!

Under the influence of an unknown, mysterious force, the world's famous mountains and rivers gradually grew taller and larger, and began producing wondrous fruits.

Animals mutated, plants evolved, and countries engaged in open and covert struggles, each scheming against the others.

Amid all this,

the entire world was governed by the law of the jungle: natural selection, survival of the fittest, and the strong preying on the weak.

The four major categories of innate special abilities: energy, physical, mental, and psychic.
