Great Ming: Zhu Yuanzhang’s Grandson, from Foot Soldier to Emperor

Seven years ago, Zhu Hao transmigrated to the Ming Dynasty. From the start, he clawed his way out of a grave in a miserable state, but luckily, someone took him in!

Today is his wedding day, and his bride is a stunning beauty who could topple kingdoms. But on their wedding night, someone arrives to recruit soldiers!

"Remnants of the Northern Yuan are harassing our Ming border. His Majesty has ordered the military households to report to their units and repel the enemy!"

His lame adoptive father steps forward. "Zhu Sheng of a military household requests permission to return to his unit and fight!"

The officer asks, "Doesn't your family have a son who's turned sixteen?"

The Ming Dynasty uses a hereditary military system, and a boy must be sixteen before he can take his father's place as a soldier. Zhu Hao is only fifteen, so he isn't eligible to enlist. His old father has no choice but to go to battle himself!

The next morning, his adoptive father discovers that his weapons and armor are all gone.

"It's over! This is a crime against the emperor. I'll be executed!"

That year, Zhu Hao earned great military honors and became a god of war in the army. The Hongwu Emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang, summoned him for an audience.

The moment Zhu Yuanzhang saw his face, he burst into tears!...
