Emperor Jing of Han's Last Edict: Liu Che, You Have an Older Brother

In 141 BC, Emperor Jing of Han died at Weiyang Palace.

On the eve of Liu Che's enthronement,

Empress Dowager Dou was secretly plotting a coup to change the ruling house.

Just as the plan was about to be put into action, a scout brought news: Liu Ye was coming with five thousand Great Snow Dragon Riders, less than ten li from Chang'an.

Then, in just half the time it takes to burn an incense stick, Liu Ye captured Chang'an!

Meanwhile,

Liu Che had learned of Empress Dowager Dou's plan and paced back and forth in the hall, racking his brains for a response.

An old eunuch brought him an imperial edict: You have an older brother.

Liu Ye entered Chang'an and forced Empress Dowager Dou and Wang Zhi to relinquish power, allowing Liu Che to take the throne and rule in his own right.

That very day, Liu Ye was made Prince Who Shares the Throne, with the right to sit beside Liu Che on the imperial throne during court!

From then on, Liu Che ruled from Chang'an, masterfully directing events, while Liu Ye soared like a blue dragon across the seas, destroying the Xiongnu, conquering the Western Regions, crushing the Japanese pirates, and wiping out Western Europe!

The world was united under one written language, spoken language, and style of dress. Thus began the era of the Two Han Emperors!
