Great Qin: Turning the Ancestral Dragon Away from the Door from the Start

The Great Qin swept across the Six Eastern States. The Hundred Schools of Thought were divided, the martial world was rife with bloodshed, and the common people lived in fear. The policy of unifying the realm was in jeopardy, so the First Emperor sought a capable person who could put an end to the Hundred Schools of Thought once and for all.

Zhao Gao suggested working with the Yin-Yang School, while Meng Yi recommended partnering with Lin Yuan, known as a great benefactor.

Since Lin Yuan was right there in Xianyang, the First Emperor decided to pay him a visit first, only to be turned away at the door.

Yan Lingji: "Sir says Your Majesty doesn't trust him and has no sincere intention of working together. There's no point in meeting. But we can't send Your Majesty back empty-handed, either. You may choose any three books from the library. Consider them Sir's support for Your Majesty's unification of the realm!"

What, are you giving alms to a beggar?!

The First Emperor was furious, but kept it to himself. He would read the books first. He needed an excuse before he could lose his temper!

A method for making salt from seawater, a guide to grain seeds, papermaking, iron smelting, hundred-forged steel, the three essential horse tack items, simplified characters, elementary arithmetic, an introductory Thousand Character Classic, a foundation-building method...

The First Emperor: "This is incredible! Who needs the Yin-Yang School? Having State Preceptor Lin is enough!"
