The Empress Never Governs Properly, She Just Wants to Date Me

I was playing an otome game set in an ancient romance when I somehow played myself into transmigrating, and even became the male lead. Bai Zichu resolves not to end up with the terrible game ending where he falls in love with his wife, the Empress, only for the country to collapse and his entire clan to be wiped out.

Besides, with the System at his disposal, wouldn't it be a waste not to become a wise minister for the ages and leave behind a story of a harmonious ruler and minister building a golden age together?

But... why is Her Majesty the Empress throwing herself at me when I've been doing my best to keep my distance?

In her past life, the Empress fell in love with her beloved courtier, only for the country to fall and her clan to perish. Her soul transmigrated to the cultivation world, where she became a peerless prodigy.

After transmigrating back, Zhao Xiangjun looks at Bai Zichu's face, one she hasn't forgotten in hundreds of years, and silently vows:

This time, you handle governing the country, my husband. I'll smash every enemy's head in!

Zhao Xiangjun, the Empress of her age, feels like she's overflowing with powah!
