You Want Me to Make a War of Resistance Propaganda Drama? I'll Make Drawing Sword

In this prosperous age, entertainment reigns supreme.

War-of-resistance stories have been turned into over-the-top entertainment, with absurd plotlines like ripping Japanese soldiers apart with bare hands, hiding a landmine in one's pants, and using a steamed bun as a bomb. The male lead fights a whole battle without mussing his hair or getting a speck of dust on him, while the female lead never skips her makeup and eyebrow grooming. The excessive idolization has driven netizens to vent: "Those Japanese soldiers had it rough. It took them eight years just to escape."

After transmigrating, Su Zheng finds himself a young director at the August First Film Studio. Early one morning, he gets a new assignment: shoot a war-of-resistance drama.

You want me to make one of those ridiculous war dramas?

No!

Just then, his System activates, and Su Zheng gets the script for Drawing Sword.

And so, the timeless classic war drama Drawing Sword bursts onto the scene.

But this is only the beginning...
