You Were Supposed to Catch Thieves, So How Did You Arrest the Police Chief?

Zhang Wei transmigrated to a parallel world. After 100 days of sign-in rewards, he activated the Crime Buster System.

He's a criminal police officer investigating a burglary.

He learns that the suspect is also a wanted murderer.

Suspect: "Bro, let me go and I'll give you 500,000."

Zhang Wei: "Only 500,000?"

Suspect: "Then I'll give you two million, all in cash."

Zhang Wei: "Your money's too dirty. I'm a clean freak."

Suspect: "Then I'll give you a lead, one that'll definitely get you promoted."

Zhang Wei: "What lead?"

Suspect: "Your bureau chief is worth over a billion."

Following the suspect's lead, Zhang Wei arrested their bureau chief, Qian Bin.

Qian Bin: "Bro, let me go and I'll give you 50 million."

Zhang Wei: "Congratulations, you've just earned yourself another charge."

Reporter: "Officer Zhang, how do you feel about arresting 1,000 criminals in a year?"

Zhang Wei: "Only 1,000? Next year I'll arrest 3,000. Once I set my sights on you, there's no escaping the law."
