Your Majesty, I'm Just a Fortune-Teller

A thousand years ago, Gui Gu Santong made a name for himself throughout the land with his divination. Any pilgrim seeking guidance could have their troubles explained and questions answered simply by presenting three phoenix feathers.

He could have become a grandmaster, but on the day he was supposed to ascend, he accidentally saw the Nine Heavens Mysterious Lady after she had removed her armor. Enraged and mortified, she slapped him back down to the mortal world.

A thousand years later, a fortune-teller who made his living on the streets accidentally took in an orphan. The two lived peacefully for sixteen years.

Then one day, a rich young bully named Guan Tong came to the market to collect protection money. His excuse was that “Guan family pork” belonged to his clan’s ancestor, and only their bloodline had the right to sell it. Anyone who refused to pay would be accused of theft.

Just then, Gui Gu Santong’s mind awakened. Years of pent-up resentment erupted, and he kicked the bully.

“You called me an idiot, huh?”

“You dared to hit me, huh?”

“You say what you mean and never back down, huh?”

“You think you’re hot stuff, huh?”

“You’re extorting money, huh?”

“Your great-great-grandfather, huh?”

He kicked him again after every insult...
