Journey to the West: I Am the God of Five Elements Mountain, and I Recruit the Monkey to Found a Great Sect

Lin Zhen transmigrates to the world of Journey to the West and becomes the Mountain God tasked with guarding Sun Wukong at Five Elements Mountain.

He plans to mind his own business and keep his head down, staying out of trouble forever.

Unexpectedly, he awakens a Sect-Founding System and takes Sun Wukong as his first disciple from the start.

Five hundred years later.

Guanyin arrives at Five Elements Mountain. "Wukong, are you willing to protect Tang Sanzang on the Journey to the West?"

Huh? Where is he?

A palace appears amid auspicious light and clouds.

Wukong is kneeling before Lin Zhen, listening to his teachings on the Great Dao.

"Who dares interfere with the destined calamity?"

"I'm just a humble mountain god, starting a little sect here. I wouldn't dare interfere with Buddhism's eastward spread."

"Is that really so?"

"It really is!"

"Then what are this Scorpion Demon, the Bull Demon King, the Nine-Headed Insect, and the Centipede Demon doing here?"

"Ahem, they're all my honest, down-to-earth disciples."
