Old Acquaintance: Back on the Road of No Return

The usual routines play out from the start, but Da Ge keeps a low profile, acting as if he couldn't care less.

"I walk through the wheat fields, breathing in the fragrance of the blossoms. Golden, plump grains stretch as far as the eye can see. Suddenly, I'm beneath a waterfall, where the mist splashes onto my clothes. The torrent plunges three thousand feet, its sound deafening and beautiful."

"At last, I row to the middle of a freshwater lake in northwestern China. I gaze at the snow-white mountains all around, where yaks graze slowly. Night is falling, and the evening bells ring out from a church somewhere in town. I can't bear to leave."

"Ah, really, please forgive me. I didn't do it on purpose." His strange behavior made his new friend, who was already shaken, take a few steps back in fear.

"Sir?" The man didn't know how to respond. He wondered if this person was crazy and couldn't decide whether to say anything more.
