After finishing her makeup, she left the door slightly ajar. Turning around, she saw someone leaning against an old tree beneath the eaves. He seemed to have his eyes closed, lost in thought. Sunlight filtering through the leaves cast a green glow over his face. Seeing Lu Cheng's green-tinted face, Qin Jiao couldn't help laughing aloud.

Her laughter disturbed him. He opened his half-closed eyes and saw her laughing in front of the door, momentarily stunned.

She skipped over to him, then spun around. Her pink outfit made her look particularly sweet and charming. "Brother Lu, how do I look? Pretty?"

He glanced at her and said, "You actually look a bit like a young lady in that."
