The Eastern Depot Acts as It Pleases. Why Should It Explain Itself to Anyone?

After transmigrating into a fantastical version of the late Ming world, he found a realm rotten to the core. Corrupt officials and ministers ran rampant, and the common people were abused until life was worse than death.

One official once said that he had spent all his family's money to buy his post, so he had to do whatever it took to claw back that money from the people, hundreds and thousands at a time!

Worse still, some even set their sights on the soldiers guarding the borders, taking their military pay, food, and supplies without exception!

Zhu Yi became the eldest son of the Chongzhen Emperor and bound himself to the God of Justice System. From the start, he built up the Eastern Depot, determined to root out every corrupt official and every merchant without a shred of conscience!

"The Eastern Depot is on duty! Anyone uninvolved, get out of the way!"

"Obstruct official business and you'll be executed without mercy!"

"The Eastern Depot answers to no one. We don't need to explain ourselves!"

"Show you our credentials? What a joke. The Eastern Depot serves only the emperor and answers to no government office. We can arrest officials and ministers directly!"

"Guards! Behead this ninth-rank corrupt official in public!"
