I, Chen Xuanzang of Great Tang, Order the Buddha to Abdicate

"Zhou Zheng, after you transmigrate back to the Great Tang in the Eastern Land, you must sabotage the pilgrimage to the Western Heaven. The hopes of the entire human race rest on you."

"Yes, sir! Mission guaranteed!"

Earth Year 38,000, 36,000 years after the pilgrimage to the Western Heaven.

Billions of humans have become livestock raised by gods and Buddhas. The gods and Buddhas live on incense and faith, heedless of whether mortals live or die.

To change the human race's plight, Zhou Zheng transmigrates into the pilgrimage to the Western Heaven and takes the place of Chen Xuanzang.

Relying on his ability to regenerate flesh and blood without limit, he saves the demons and monsters of the Journey to the West. They're all wage slaves, so why keep competing against each other?

From then on, a pilgrim named Chen Xuanzang walks the road west, striking fear into the hearts of gods and Buddhas throughout the Three Realms.

With forty-eight thousand swords, I will soar into the heavens and slay the gods and Buddhas.

Chen Xuanzang of Great Tang respectfully requests that the Buddha step down.
