Showbiz: Building a Top-Tier Girl Group from the Start

That year, Girls' Generation reached the peak of its popularity and became the world's number one girl group.

That same year, Blackpink, T-ara, and EXID burst onto the scene and swept the domestic market.

It was an era ruled by the Korean Wave.

Major variety shows across the country were proud to invite girl groups from South Korea.

Then, at a music awards ceremony, a young man publicly declared:

"Chinese songs are the best!"

The news sparked ridicule across Korean online forums, and even people at home mocked him.

But as one piece of news after another came to light, netizens gradually lost their composure.

"Those girl groups were all created by Ye Xingchen?!"

"Ye Xingchen: 'So I beat myself. Is that how this works?'"

"According to Twitter, Ye Xingchen went sightseeing in the US with Lee Ji-eun yesterday. Someone spotted them staying at the same hotel."

"Didn't someone just photograph him vacationing in Japan with Park Ji-yeon?"

"You can't even imagine how good Ye Xingchen has it!"
