The Fortune-Teller: I Walk the Mortal World and Converse with the Yin and Yang

By a stroke of luck, Gu Sheng became a fortune-teller.

He wandered the human world until he found a gateway to the underworld.

With a little folding stool and a fortune-teller's banner, he sat down in front of the gate.

With his eyes open, he told the living their fortunes. With them closed, he read the fate of the dead.

From then on, he spoke with both the living and the dead.

An old woman asked, "Sir, I want to know when my husband will come home. I've waited for him all my life."

Gu Sheng glanced up at the plane carrying the remains of fallen heroes and smiled. "Ma'am, your husband is back. Just look."

The next moment,

the red sunset cast its glow.

A young soldier in uniform, his shoulders covered in military insignia, slowly walked toward her.

"Your husband, too, has waited for you all his life."

The old woman burst into tears.
