The Underworld Is Short-Staffed, So They Drafted Me

Su Yang transmigrated to a world where ghosts were real and was lucky enough to awaken the Ghost-Catching System. But the System didn't even give him a beginner's gift pack.

Just as he was getting anxious, the Underworld, short on staff, sent Black and White Impermanence to draft him. He became the lowest-ranking ghost officer in the human world, with the power to detain ghosts and send them through the Ghost Gate.

Su Yang figured a huge windfall had just fallen into his lap.

"Congratulations, Host, on completing the beginner's task: detain 10 ghosts. Reward: peachwood sword, spiritual water, and Ghost-Binding Art."

"Beginner task: detain a vengeful ghost. Successful detention rewards: pure-yang Daoist robe, a hundred years of cultivation, and Palm Thunder."

And so Su Yang became the hardest-working ghost officer in the human world.

The Celestial Master of Mount Longhu: "How are you such a badass when you're just a ghost officer?!"

The commander guarding the Ghost Gate: "Please, take it easy! You're only a ghost officer in the human world. You're just a temp!"

The Yin Court of the human world clung to Su Yang's leg and sobbed: "Su Yang, come work for our Yin Court! I'll give you an annual salary of a billion, even ten billion! Please let us bask in your glory!"
