Min Sandong, the preeminent storyteller of Zhoushen Nation, accidentally fell into Hell, where he met the King of Hell. The King of Hell wanted Min Sandong to return to the mortal world, reborn, but he set three conditions: 1. He must tell twenty-three stories so the King of Hell could experience the true joys and sorrows, pain and hardship of human life; 2. Min Sandong must die at least once in every story, no matter what; 3. In the final story, the King of Hell would enter the story and consider whether to make Min Sandong the preeminent storyteller in the mortal world.
