I Went to Ask for Her Hand in Marriage, but They Looked Down on Me for Raising Pigs

"Mom, why did you drive my boyfriend away? And why did you give him five million and tell him never to see me again?"

"Do you think he's worthy of you? You're the daughter of the Su family, born to wealth. Every member of the Su family is a remarkable figure, commanding the military or dominating the business world. We even have several leading scientists. How could a poor boy who had to sell pigs just to afford school possibly deserve you?"

"But his family can raise 1.5 billion pigs a year, and supplies ninety percent of the pork in the world. Their production lines are managed by fully intelligent robots, their security guards wear mechs developed at great expense by the five major powers, and they use nuclear fusion reactors to power their pig farms. If he gets upset, you won't even be able to eat pig offal."

"Quick, quick! Our son-in-law can't have gone far. I can't take this, my heart isn't doing too well. Get me a doctor while you're at it."
