Restore the Han, Overthrow the Qing: I Somehow Built a New Empire

In 1707, the forty-sixth year of the Kangxi reign, floods ravaged Jiangnan, and uprisings broke out across the northern and southern provinces. The Heaven and Earth Society, the White Lotus Sect, Zhu San Taizi, and countless other rebel groups sprang up one after another. At the same time, the Western powers began their Industrial Revolution ahead of schedule. The spinning jenny gave the textile industry of the empire on which the sun never sets a massive head start. Most alarming of all, Napoleon was leading his army in a war to unify the European continent, while North and South America had won their wars of independence early and begun their westward expansion.

Meanwhile, a son of the Liu clan, a powerful family of Jiangnan cloth merchants, found himself in an unexpected twist of fate and began his great undertaking: overthrowing the Qing and restoring Han rule!
